New outfit

This is an outfit Calvin got for Christmas, which I love. Calvin doesn't share the same feelings, however. He threw a fit for 20 minutes after I put it on him. He kept pulling on the sleeves trying to get it off. I tried to explain to him that he was wearing a shirt like daddy. I don't know if it helped. Hopefully he'll do better next time, because I didn't get enough pictures. This might be seen on his cousin in the near future.

Christmas morning

The basketball hoop was a hit, at times a little distracting to the presents he was trying to open that were always "guck" (stuck) or other words, they were taped.

here he is sucking on the bottle (still in the package) that came with his doll:Then he fed the baby the bottle:Then it was his turn again:Calvin saying "ho,ho,ho!"Merry Christmas!

more corners

Here's a couple more pictures of Calvin in time out that were pretty funny. Can you tell Calvin just got out of his high chair? In the next one Calvin was babbling and bouncing up and down while in time out. Brandon quietly ran to get the camera hoping to catch his cuteness in action without being noticed. We thought we were being pretty sneaky, but as soon as Calvin heard the camera "click" the picture, without turning around, he yelled, "cheese!" Apparently he knew what was going on.

Zoo day

It's hard to say which animal was Calvin's favorite. Brandon and I loved seeing the baby animals, especially the baby elephant. Calvin seemed most excited that the baby elephant was playing with a ball.

Little athlete

This is Calvin enjoying the bowl of Kix we picked up off the floor after he dumped the box on the carpet. This is Calvin playing baseball.

I would say we should get him a bat that is easier to hold onto, but he can be so violent with his toys I don't know if it's a good idea. He injured a nursery leader on Sunday when he chucked a fat wooden puzzle piece into his face. All that throwing practice might not have been a good idea.
Here's some basketball:

Parade and things

Family time at the BYU Homecoming parade. We hung out with Bremily & fam. It was a lot of fun and a lot of candy:Calvin with some crazy hair and the little pumpkins he loves to carry around and throw on the ground. I'm sure our neighbors below us wonder why we are always dropping such heavy things:

Lately

Calvin LOVES coloring and drawing. I would even go so far as to say that he loves it more than balls. (I know, many gasps) But he always chooses crayons over balls.
However, his favorite thing to color is balls. We only color on the coloring pages with balls. He colors it in a couple of quick strokes and then announces to turn the page to the next ball. I have done this with him for close to an hour straight. He is focused when it comes to coloring:Action shot:
Look, I have black hair again. I just wanted to make the contrast in our 3 hair colors stand out a little more:

Basketball

Calvin was pretty excited he could turn a basketball into a chair.

Spoon

I was eating some ice cream out of a little cup one day when Calvin comes in and informs me that he would like some. To stall sharing, I told him to go get a spoon. He turned around and ran off. I wondered where he would get a spoon and figured he might find one he had thrown on the floor somewhere during a meal. He came scurrying in a minute later holding up a large plastic cooking spoon. He just looked at me as if to say, "okay Mom, I'm ready!" I couldn't stop laughing.

Gardner Village Day

A couple of poses showing off the tights:We had so much fun, especially at the petting zoo. Calvin only pulled the hair of one animal, I was pretty glad about that. (he pulls everyone and everything's hair that he can)
