I don't know how Calvin decided to bounce balls on his arms, but he discovered it was fun one day and frequently entertains himself with this game now.
We just decided we are going to be staying in Utah for Christmas instead of going home to Seattle. I feel like I need to post excessive amounts of video clips so Seattle fam can see Calvin doing all the silly things he does even though they don't get to see him in person for awhile.
Ever since we went to the car wash and Calvin helped Brandon dry off the car he has been cleaning walls and floors whenever he finds a washcloth or paper towel laying around.
He picks up new signs pretty fast now. Some of the signs are pretty similar, but in context I can usually figure it out what he's trying to say. His version of "I love you" is pretty different than what we do (crossing our arms over our chest), but it melts my heart when he does it on his own (which is rare). I think "I love you" should have been the first sign we taught him. Isn't that what every mom wants to hear from their kid the most?
Yesterday we were at the library playing outside and he told me he wanted "food" (he uses the sign for "more", I think lots of kids do that). I told him I didn't have any. So he told me "home" and then "food". That's the first time I've seen him put two signs together, so I was pretty impressed with his communication. We went home and got some food : )
Another random thing he does is carry cans out of the pantry all day long.
