Calvin is getting better at using words together. I wouldn't call them sentences, maybe baby sentences. He always likes to tell me, "Daddy, work, bye-bye, garage". Since we have never had a garage before, it must stand out to him that Dad goes to work by way of the garage. So these are some pictures of us while dad is at work.
Since the only thing Calvin does all day is play sports, I figured I should at least give him as many to choose from as I can, so I picked up this little golf set at Toys R Us and I had no idea what a hit it would be. There is a new "Orange" in the house and it is the orange golf club, which is Calvin's, he has designated the green and blue ones to mommy and daddy and sometimes Yo-Yo (aunt).
In these pictures you can kind of see the living room, kitchen and family room (aka play room) that are all on the first floor. There is also a laundry room and 1/2 bath (not very exciting, we still need to paint the kitchen & bathrooms). Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We love it! And we'll take pictures of those rooms too... sometime.
Here are some pictures of while we were in the middle of making our house look awesome. Really, I don't think the before pictures do justice of how grimmy and gross the walls and baseboards looked before we painted. What a difference. I didn't get any pictures of us taking out the tile, what a pain that was. A lot of time and intense equipment was involved. Avoid removing tile at all costs. Also, avoid putting tile in living rooms in the first place. Here are 4 pictures of the play room so you can see them all together:
Notice the green carpet? nice huh? That had to go, along with the tile in the family room - gag. And the laminate floor in the living room wasn't too bad, but it had to go too. Here's a couple pictures of the upstairs:
Before I post a million and one pictures of our house, before & after & in the process, here are a few Calvin pictures. Easter with cousins: Practicing safety: playing with Yo-Yo: found Brandon's hair stuff, but got it confused with our face lotion:
