Russia

Calvin has refused to take off this jersey for the past 48 hours. He had to wear it yesterday, he had to wear it to bed, and even though I made him change the shirt underneath, he had to wear it today too.
Ever since we told Calvin about Chad going to Russia, he does this little yell all the time:

cooking

Calvin always wants to help cook and stir. The best he usually gets is an empty pot and pan, so his "cooking" gets pretty loud. First, the vigorous, some what violent stirring, Followed by flipping the pan over for drumming.
I love Calvin's bed head. It's always funnier than anything I could style myself. I should try getting his hair a little wet before he lays down to make it that much better.

Grandparents

My parents came for a quick visit last weekend. It was so nice to see them and so sad that we don't see them more. The last time they saw Calvin was a year ago! They had some good bonding time, Grandpa had Calvin running around, laughing hysterically and then Calvin was so worn out he fell asleep in Grandma's arms. Hopefully we'll see them again this summer.

Spring egg hunt

It was hilarious to see how many toys and eggs the little kids would run by before they would bother picking anything up. (everything was just strewn on the grass, no hiding whatsoever) And of course, every time Calvin picked up an egg he wanted to eat the candy inside. Our loot wasn't that big in the end.
